Taa Wongbe is founder of the Global Alliance for Technology & Education in Africa. He cofounded and serves as CTO for Pangean Technologies, an award-winning company that develops innovative VoIP software solutions. Taa is also the founder of Lunchtimdeals.com, a website that provides intelligent marketing to restaurants by delivering interactive mobile coupons to its community of users. Taa has consulted and served as chief architect on projects for major companies, including Deloitte & Touché, EDS, and Cisco.
Christabel is a member of the founding team and currently chairs the Operations and Programs Committee for GATE. She was the President of the SIPA Pan African Network at Columbia University and is the Co-founder of the College of Wooster International Student Alumni Network (ISAN) at the College of Wooster. Christabel earned her Masters Degree from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs where she studied Economic and Political Development, focusing on gender and education policy. During her stay at Columbia, she led the campaign to reopen the Institute of African Studies. She received her Bachelors degree in International Relations from the College of Wooster. Christabel currently lives in Accra, Ghana where she works as the Africa Regional Manager for Microfinance Transparency. Christabel has expertise in project design and management, program evaluation, capacity building, international education policy, and gender studies.
Gbiankador Kotee is a graduate of Kean University with a BA in Mathematical Sciences. She has previously taught and tutored middle and high school mathematics in New Jersey and New York. Additionally, she works as an Assistant Program Director at Camp Victory Lake, a sleep away camp in Hyde Park NY. Gbianka is currently working on her Masters in Arts Administration and Nonprofit Management at Drexel University. Gbiankia currently chairs the Marketing, Outreach and Fundraising Committee of GATE.
Benoni is the co-founder and Managing Partner with The Khana Group, Lead Principal at Khana Capital Management and Global Internal Audit Manager at Standard Chartered Bank. In addition, serves as managing director for the Liberian Professional Network and Co-founded and chairs the Budget & Finance Committee for the GATE to Africa. He has worked as an Enterprise Risk Consultant at Deloitte & Touché and was an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co. In addition, his experiences has allowed him to work with a wide range of clients in the Investment Banking, Wholesale banking, and Consumer Banking, Health Care, Retail and Manufacturing sectors. Benoni received his BS in Operations and Information Systems Management (Minor Supply Chain Mgmt) from Penn State University. In addition, Benoni also holds a MBA with a concentration in Finance. Benoni Schall is a member of the Microfinance Club of New York, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (“SIFMA”), and The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
